Clinical Examinations
A quarter of a GP's workload is made up of patients complaining of musculoskeletal problems. However, very few GP's have any postgraduate orthopaedic experience, relying instead on their medical school training to examine joints.
These short videos are aimed at GP's to refresh their skills in examination techniques of orthopaedic complaints.
With the average consultation time only 10 minutes its difficult to get a patient history, conduct an examination and diagnose the condition in such a short time. The videos condense all the necessary tests into an average of two minutes to aid the working GP in his or her diagnosis.
Each video is divided into two parts, a discussion of the common presentations a GP will see with an analysis of the joint, and a typical examination to diagnose the problem.
They are accurate and easy to perform. We hope you find them useful.
